As with previous SOGAT events, the attendees are drawn from international senior technical management, engineers and engineering staff from operators and service companies. The event is unique and is now the established meeting place for all those involved in sour oil and gas developments focusing on but not limited to the middle east.
SOGAT 2012 embellished the international reputation of the event as all the sponsors for 2011 were joined by Shell. Regular exhibitors were joined by ANH Refractories , Batrec, Cameron, Eco-Tec, Fives Pillard, OGTI, Pall, SKF and Telectron.
Other new aspects included workshops on H2S Safety and Filtration & Contamination Control.
Again well in excess of 500 participants from 25 countries took part in the weeks event. From the 58 offers of papers the Advisory Committee delivered strong programs for both the 8th international SOGAT conference and the 6th International CO2 Forum where 22 papers and 11 papers were presented respectfully.
