As with previous SOGAT events, the attendees are drawn from senior technical management, engineers and engineering staff. The event is unique and is now the established meeting place for all those involved in sour oil and gas developments focused on the Middle East.

SOGAT 2011 embellished the international reputation of the event as all the sponsors for 2010 were joined by Masdar, DOW Oil&Gas, BASF, MAN Turbo, DANAGAS, Sulphur Experts and Worley Parsons. Regular exhibitions were joined by AMGAS, Combustion Solutions GmbH, Delta Contras, FLUOR, Goar Allison & Associates, HEC, IPCOS, MTR, SCOTT Health & Safety, Thorpe Corp and Twin Process Filtration.
Other new aspects included workshops on Amine Treating and Contingency Planning for H2S Emergencies.
Again well in excess of 500 participants from 23 countries took part in the weeks event. From the 54 offers of papers the Advisory Committee delivered strong programs for both the 7th international SOGAT conference and the 5th International CO2 Forum where 19 papers and 11 papers were presented respectfully.
